Writing Tips On this page you will find a number of different tips to help you improve your writing.
1. Make your title stand out so that people want to read your story/ newspaper report/ procedure.
One way of making your title stand out is using alliteration. Alliteration is repeating the initial sound of words in a sentence. Here are some examples:
Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers.
The Wild Winds of Winter
2. Make sure you use capital letters to start a sentence.
Capital letters also need to be used for proper nouns (people's names, names of places). For example: Miss Tonkin, Natalie, Mildura and Australia.
